Used to work okay. Since about a month, this junk has randomly lost compatibility with MetaMask (and, I presume, other Web3-based wallets). My understanding is that the muppets at Brave have decided that their wallet, which isn't supported elsewhere / in other browsers, should replace MetaMask and other universally-supported wallets. Reminds Me of Microsoft ca. 2000.

Latest update has reset my home page and cleared extensions! Luckily, after reinstalling the extensions, their preferences were kept. Searching the web, you'll see that it happens once in a while and without a clear explanation (except for a message at launch that says it does so for security reasons, which is not very satisfactory... 🙄)

Soon coming back to Brave after 2 years running (again) Firefox ESR as my main browser in Mojave — as I'm in the course of upgrading to Ventura — I appreciate Brave's sober interface and the integrated uBlock mv2 extension, which is a wonderful addition compared to the other Chromium browsers! Of course, if you're not familiar with Brave there are a lot of things to disable to have a clean user experience.

Nagging Old Bugs: (1) "Warn Before Quitting (⌘Q)" still does NOTHING, ever. (2) "Delete Browsing Data / Browsing History" still does NOTHING, ever. You have to manually check&delete each entry. (3) "History / Recently Visited" remains a deranged mess. <- - The fact that these very old and severe contradictions in GUI vs REALITY keep Brave from ever being a 5 star browser. I've reported this stuff repeatedly to the project and: They Don't Care. I.E. WTF?! I still enjoy using Brave every day! But there's a severe screw loose in its development team. 💩😖 Incomprehensible.

Somehow... The Intel x86 version is downloading! If that's what you want, then fine. But it's not what M-series Mac users want! Please fix this MU. Universal version please.
